Alloc
The Vintage collection features a 1-strip plank design approximately 6 1/2" wide and slight bevel edges offering a rustic look and feel. Vintage features a 3mm thick veneer and a Lifestrongtm surface treatment that will ensure durability through years of use. The planks are 14mm thick and constructed with an HDF core balanced by peeled spruce backing.
It's easy to keep your Alloc floor beautiful.
Alloc Wood floors will perform the best in areas with around 45 - 50% relative humidity. (A humidifier is recommended to avoid shrinkage in very dry environments.) The floor is easy to maintain and below is a list of important but limited items to consider.
1. Use protector pads under heavy furniture and chair legs.
2. Put walk off mats by exterior door entrances to pick up dirt, abrasive materials and moisture from your shoes.
3. Avoid scratching from pet claws by keeping them trimmed.
4. Use area rugs to protect floor from heavy traffic areas. Be aware such rugs, if in sunny rooms, may cause difference in fading from non-protected areas.
5. Do not wax floors; they are pre-finished.
6. Do not wet mop floors or clean with products containing lemon oils, ammonia etc. Use non-wax floor cleaners (Bona - Kemi or Preferred Products Hardwood Floor Cleaners and Alloc Free & Clean).
7. Water can permanently damage your floor, wipe up any spills immediately.
8. Avoid walking on floors with high heeled stiletto-type shoes or dropping objects on floor that can give rise to over 1,000 psi of pressure.
9. Sweep and or vacuum (using brush attachments) your floor regularly. New cleaning systems such as Swiffer® can also be used.
